The Zipper Junction Project™, will be collecting toy and monetary donations at the train stations where The Stourbridge Line departs and arrives for the Santa Christmas Tree Express, the Pocono Winter Wonderland Express, and the Holiday Dinner Train excursions. Bring a toy, have some refreshments, ride the train, and even pick out a Christmas tree! What a wonderful way to spend the day while also helping the community that the railroad calls home. Santa Christmas Tree Express – Excursion details from The Stourbridge Line: Climb aboard for a unique Christmas experience with a ride on the Santa Christmas Tree Express. Travel in comfort in our heated coaches as we dash down the tracks to our trackside Christmas venue. Once we arrive, climb off the train (steps required) to visit Santa, and enjoy complimentary Hot Chocolate.

Passengers will have approximately one hour to visit Santa and choose and purchase that unique Christmas tree from Dein’s pre-cut Christmas Tree lot if they would like. Weâ€™ll bale and tag it, and you can watch it being loaded on our flat car. Then passengers and trees will be returned to the station. Once the train arrives back at the station, our crew will unload the trees and place them so you can take them to your vehicle.

Please note that the tree cost is an additional cost. Christmas trees are priced individually and sold by Dein Nurseries. Prices will vary according to the size and variety of trees. Wreaths and potted trees will also be available. Cash and credit cards are accepted.

Pocono Winter Wonderland Express – Excursion details from The Stourbridge Line: Join us for a 1.5 hour round trip excursion from Honesdale along the Lackawaxen River. This is one of the best ways to take in the natural beauty of the Northern Pocono Mountains. Keep your eyes open for bald eagles and other wildlife along the river. The railcars are heated, and restrooms are available on board.

Santa Christmas Tree Express – Details from The Stourbridge Line: Join us for a scenic trip along the Lackawaxen River to celebrate the holiday season while enjoying an amazing dinner catered by Sidel’s Restaurant.

Three course dinner including: Salad, Entre, Specialty Potato, Vegetable and Dessert

Choose from any of the following entrees: Spinach Ricotta Stuffed Veal au Jus / Wild Salmon w/ Apple Cranberry Cinnamon glaze / Roasted Pork Chop w/Cabernet Mushroom reduction / Also includes dessert

Winter Wonderland Parade – Tree & Star Lighting in Central Park
Join us in the charming town of Honesdale on Friday, November 29th, for an unforgettable evening of holiday magic! Gather your family and friends and join us for an evening filled with joy, laughter, and community spirit. It’s the perfect way to kick off the holiday season!

Parade Kick-Off at 6:00 PM: The festivities begin with a spectacular parade featuring beautifully decorated floats, festive music, and, of course, Santa Claus himself! The parade will start at 4th Street, make its way through town, and end at Central Park.

Santa’s Arrival & Tree Lighting: Watch as Santa arrives at Central Park, where he’ll help light the town’s magnificent Christmas tree, marking the official start of the holiday season. Don’t miss the lighting of the Star on Irving Cliff, illuminating the town with festive cheer.

Cocoa, Donuts & Photos with Santa: After the tree lighting, stick around for warm cocoa and delicious donuts, and don’t forget to snap a picture with Santa to capture the holiday spirit.
